"NO LONGER IN MY LIFE - BUT ALWAYS IN MY HEART!"

God knows that pets make life complete,
so he "lent" me a cat, so dear and sweet,
to stay with me for just a while,
to share my life and make me smile.

I named him Dickens - he absolutely won my heart,
and it was love right from the start.
He asked for so little, yet gave so much,
purring and cooing at the slightest little touch.

Everyone fell prey to little Dickens' charm
he ruled the roost, without fear of harm.
For fifteen years Dickens brightened my days
and lightened my cares with his humorous ways.

But, too quickly, his visit came to an end
and God called Dickens back "home" again.
Please carry him through eternity's door,
to peacefully live, play and love - evermore.
