Princess

To my Chubby Bunny:
I wanted an all white kitten and that's exactly what you were. Little did I know that you'd grow into all those markings. You were beautiful and unique and I would never have traded you for the world. Then we moved across the country together and you kept me alert with your howling. I think it was your way of telling me you weren't happy being stuck in that car. You always slept at my feet...until Girlie left us. Then you took her place sleeping under the covers with me, sometimes even keeping me awake with your loud purring. Last year I could have lost you but refused to let you go. I spent week after week nursing you and feeding you until you were finally yourself again. But this time, you just weren't strong enough. If my love could have made you healthy again, you'd be with me right now. You were in such pain at the end and I couldn't bear to let you go through it anymore. The vet gave you a sedative and I'll never forget the way you looked. You laid your head on your paws and closed your eyes and you'd never looked so happy and so peaceful. I cried and held you and told you how much I loved you as you drifted off into your final sleep. Princess, please know that you were always a special part of my life and that you were very much loved. I will always love you and never forget you Chubby Bunny.
