My sweet, sweet girl, what a Daddy's girl you were right from the start. Charles looked at you and said "here she is". We were looking for a little girl as a playmate for Bucky and we were lucky enough to find you at the Norco Animal Shelter. You hadn't been so lucky before we found you, someone had abused you, you cowered and yelped when we pet you and your little feet looked mangled. When we took you to the vet to get a clean bill of health, he told us you had a skin disorder, a ear infection, a rasp in your chest, worms and needed to be fixed - you were in heat.
We decided all that could be fixed, and we knew we would love you out of your fear and apprehension. We all loved you, Daddy, Bucky and me and we were right, you came around to being a happy playful sweet little girl. You were always very submissive and would cower even when someone crossed their feet. I always wondered what your natural nature would have been had you never been abused. When we would take you for a ride and I would hold you to let you look out the window, I always hoped your old owners would see you and I would think, look at her now, riding around in a big black van conversion, happy, loved and doesn't have a care in the world.
Ginger, you were the only dog I have ever met that laughed. When we would come home you would meet and greet us with this little smile and wrinkled nose, you would actually be so happy you laughed. Sweet girl, I miss you, what a quiet little soul you were. You never asked for anything, quiet and shy, so when we meet again at Rainbow Bridge please don't be timid, I will need you to push ahead of my other babies and let me know you are there, they will understand. I am looking forward to seeing you again, I love you sweet Ginger, until then know you are loved and missed - give Bucky a kiss for me.
Love,
Your Mommy.
