Tammy

It was so hard to say goodbye,
but to myself I could no longer lie,
that on this earth you would get well,
and no more bargains I could sell,
I held you close all night long,
until the morning sun arose,
but as I hold you this I know,
in heaven God will make you whole,
and keep you safe until the day,
when I can join you and again can say,
"mommy's home, wanna play?",
so rest my precious "little one",
for on this earth our time is done,
but someday soon I don't know when,
God will call me too and then,
we'll be together forever more.
