My Dearest Chester

When I received you at 5 weeks young, you where the most beautiful dog in the world. I took care of you and cleaned up after you and don’t regret any of that, you used to romp and run and chew on them chewy bones. When you where laying there that Sunday by the tree and in the green grass I could see it in your eyes and I know you where just waiting on us to come and love you one last time before the good lord took you away to the Rainbow Bridge you where struggling laying on your stomach so when I laid you over on your side and gave you big kisses and was rubbing your fur coat, I was telling you it’s ok to go to a better place so you would be healthy again and you could see & hear again. I could see it was over then the lord took you so quick that day. You gave us the best 16 ½ years of our life and you’ve left a paw print in our hearts. We will always love & think about you everyday. I know you don’t like me crying but you are truly missed so much your all I had to talk to and you would listen so well and you would give me kisses & hugs for that. We will be together again someday again so wait for us at the Bridge and we can touch and feel each other again.

I ONLY WANTED YOU

They say memories are golden
Well maybe that is true.
We never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.

A million times we needed you,
A million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place
No one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
And heartache makes a lane,
I’d walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

We Still Love You So Much!!
