Shadow

Shadow was my canine soulmate, and he died way too early of lymphoma. I can barely function now without his furry head in my lap, nudging me with his nose to pet him just a little longer. I know we made the right decision. I promised him I wouldn't let him suffer. But I needed him for just awhile longer because he was so good, caring and loyal. He seemed so tired and helpless yesterday lying in my lap, and dreaming (hopefully of something fun) before we helped him cross the bridge. Shadow, I will never forget you but please help me learn to live without you, my sweet puppy.
