My Dearest Blush,
You were only seven, and should have had at least another six years with me.
I can't believe that one day, I'm taking you to the vet, and a week later, you are being put to sleep, at home, in my arms.
I know you are in a better place, with no suffering, but I am absolutely inconsolable, and have been crying for you every day. What makes it worse for me, is that not one vet could tell me exactly what was wrong with you, but that you had some kind of neurological/bone infection problem. My guilt is that I didn't take you to a vet sooner, or that I didn't do enough to find a proper diagnosis - I hope you forgive me my darling, I will always be devastated over losing you.
May you run forever free, chasing squirrels and tennis balls, and with the breeze blowing through your beautiful red hair!
