Fifi
Born: September 20, 1991

Fifi was my light and joy. She was brought in to the family as a tiny little puppy. For some reason she chose me to be her master. I was only twenty two at the time and only wanted to party late into the night. Well, Fifi would wait up for me each night. It started to get to me that I was hurting her by not coming home. So, I stopped going out and stayed home. Fifi would follow me everywhere. She loved to go byebye. When she was younger, her favorite place was the post office. She would run up and down the isles and bark. She was always full of spunk. Just four pounds she thought she was the biggest dog there was. Fifi loved to sleep like me. She would sleep on the covers until morning and then climb under them in the morning and snuggle up to my side. Before getting up we would have a bonding time. I would lay her on my chest with her head just below my chin. We would lay like that for at least half an hour and then get up.She also liked to give you a kiss on your foot. She would find you, walk up, lick your foot, and go about her business. She eventually lost her hearing, but that didn't stop her. She would always let you know when she wanted a biscuit or a cookie. We were told early on that Fifi had an enlarged heart, but she never showed signs of being unhealthy. One day, at the age of fourteen, after spending a relaxing day with me, she collapsed and died of congestive heart failure. I have felt her presence since her untimely departure. She will always live in my heart and I can't wait until we meet again.
