Lady

Today, I lost my best friend. A dog is indeed a man’s best friend. Lady went to sleep today and soon after awoke with the angels in heaven – doggie heaven. Is there indeed such a place? Of course there is. How can a place such as this not exist to bring solace and peace to the wonderful spirit of Lady? How could God not create solitude and comfort for such an animal who was kind, giving, loving, obedient, trustworthy and most important, loyal to all who loved her? Yes, there is such a place; and yes, Lady is resting comfortably there where she will rest for eternity. I truly loved you Lady. You were my friend and companion for almost ten years. I will never forget you and what you were to me, and what I was to you. May the angels in heaven watch over you for eternity and may I once again greet you when I too leave this world. I know I will see you again, ask for your paw, pat you on your head and give you a great big hug.

Until such a time, I will truly miss you my friend and treasure those precious days that I spent with you.
