Precious Baby

We took precious baby into our lives when she was only 4 weeks old. She became one of our children and a great sister to our 3 kids. Precious gave us much love and joy. She had a wonderful life. Full of adventure she was always curious. She always greeted people with excitement and love. She was always happy we would tell her that one day she was going to take off flying her stubby tail would wag so fast. We did not realise until we lost her what a big part of our lives she was. She was a big part of our daily routine. Every night she would sleep in our room. She would get up at times and go check on the kids and if she couldn't get into their rooms to see them she would stand at their door and bark until someone let her in. Every morning she would wake me up when the alarm went off licking my neck and then she would do the same to my husband and the more she had to lick the faster her tail went. She would eat breakfast with my husband every morning, if he didn't accidently drop anything for her she would get some of her food and sit and eat while he ate. Precious loved going to the lake with us she would ride in the front of the boat as if she was navigating. She had a sun visor that she would wear sometimes because the sun made her eyes watery. She was a very smart little baby. I would say "give momma chub chubs" and she would snuzzle her nose in my neck. She loved going to the groomers, one time i walked in to pick her up and she wasn't ready yet the groomer's dryer quit and they had a rotating fan blowing on her and she was moving her head along with the fan with her ears blowing. She brought us great joy i miss her dearly. Precious hurt her back last summer going down the steps of our porch. The vet gave her a shot and some steroids man she ate everything she could find and gained some weight. Well two days before her end precious had hurt her back again i came home from work and my husband was crying telling me something was wrong with her. I found precious lying on the floor which she always came to the door to meet me, she could not stand. The next day we went to the doggy doctor(vet) and he gave her a shot and sone steroid pills, i felt then she would not get better and talk to the vet of her burial. The vet assured me she would be fine. That night precioius was not blinking her eyes and her mouth was dry i put lubricating drops in her eyes she still did not blink i gave her a drop of water and she choked and gagged on it that night precious slept in my daughters room, the next morning my daughter brought her into my room and said precious was better because she was trying to get up and have breakfast with my husband. When i saw precious i knew she was not better and this was our last day with her. Her eyes were so dark and dry, her mouth was slobbery. I took her to the doggy doctor again and he said the nerve in her back must have been damaged more thatn he thought and that the swelling and moved up her neck and to her brain causing the muscle loss and nerve loss to blink. I held my little precious baby as the vet gave her the shot and kissed her little cheek as she took her last breath. The last two days she was alive she never whimmpered out in pain. We miss her so dearly she has left a big void in our lives. Precious baby momma loves you so much and miss you terribly. I know the angels in heaven are having fun with you. We will be together again one day baby.
