Scamper

Today my friend is one of the saddest days of my life. I have yet to stop my tears. When you came into our lives 8 years ago we fell in love the very moment we saw you. You were a joy in our lives. You grew up with the kids and you loved them just as much as they loved you. You were the best dog we could ever have, so gentle and kind. You never barked, growled or bit any of our kids. We could never replace you. Putting you to rest was the hardest decision we ever had to make. This morning we shared a bagel and some special moments snuggling as you licked away my tears. This afternoon I have knots in my stomach and a whole in my heart. Even as they were putting you to sleep you laid in my lap, we all were patting you and I wanted to yell stop. I am sorry pal.

You are forever in our hearts and will be sadly missed today and always. We must remember that you are in a better place and have no more pain.
