You came into our lives, and taught us to love big dogs. You showed everyone around you that all you wanted out of life was to love and protect your family. We called you the 'faithful one' because you always looked into our eyes with great concern, and followed us from room to room making sure we were all ok. You thought you were a lap dog, even though you were almost as big as we were. If we wouldn't let you sit in our laps, you would plop your head on our leg, and make sure we didnt move until you were ready to get up and move. You learned how to swim, but only because you thought it was your duty to 'rescue' us whenever we would dive under water for too long. You were the best sister to Rosebud, putting up with her pestering with gentleness, until she pushed your buttons too much, then you'd let her know who was boss like a good big sister does. I never imagined life without you, but today I had to change that very quickly. I'll never forget the last few moments we spent together, your head on my lap, looking in each others eyes, I knew you were saying goodbye and telling me that you trusted my judgement. When the entire family gathered you checked to make sure each of us was there. You laid your head down gently, and we prayed you would feel comfort as you provided for us over the years. I love you and will miss you for as long as we are apart. Goodbye Gabby.
