"This is to thank Jo for all her e-mails, love, support, and especially the cards that she made with such a talent. I was especially excited to get the cards for the birth of Jonathan and his first birthday in April. I have kept every one that she made for us. She just recently sent a beautiful sympathy card for the loss of my grandfather last month. He and Jo also knew each other. She had a love for many here 'across the pond' in America. Jo and Opa can finally meet in heaven and be introduced to my grandmother too. I will miss her funny jokes and sweet reminders to cherish life and not take it for granted. My heart goes out to her family as they go through this difficult process of grief.
I just read her letter for her husband, Fred. It was so touching. Now, she is with him, her friends and family that have gone before her and also, her beloved furry friends, that she loved and treasured so much. We have another angel to watch over us and another star to shine down from the heavens. God Bless you, Jo, and thank you for everything you did for us and everyone else. I'll meet you when I meet Sherlock, Rupert, Brindy and the others at the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for your help when I lost them. Their loss brought you into my life.
Anyone reading this, remember that there is a purpose for everything and that when one door closes, one door opens. Appreciate the simple joys of life because we are not guaranteed tomorrow and today is in the 'present', a gift for us, and there is nothing we can do about yesterday except remember the good times. Life is too short to dwell on the pain and sorrow, even though they are important to help us become stronger and prepare for the future."
